Another book based on Norse sagas, these seem to be getting popular. this book has a lot of detail and is a great book 5/5
It starts when Amma, a strange woman in the kingdom spots something on the shore. They find a baby in the boat and the king insists on letting him live. Rune grows up and everything changes when he spots a stranger who changes everything by waking a dragon.

Book reviews
Calico captive-
A book about English girl, Miriam and her family. Miriam lives with her sister, Susanna and Susanna's husband and family. When they and their neighbor, Peter Lawrence are captured by Indians, Miriam expects mistreatment and doesn't trust them, even when they are friendly and accept them into the tribe. She is later sold to the French and makes unlikely friends. 1/5, Not the best History fiction i've read, it was loosely based.

An ancient prophecy comes true when Rannoch, a red stag, is born with a white leaf-shaped birthmark on his head. He is hidden with Bracken, a doe whose calf was stillborn. She and some other mothers take their calves and run from the hatred that is being bred by Drail and Sgorr, the leaders of the home herd. As Rannoch grows, he runs with his mother and friends, facing obstacles through out the way.

The Knife Of Never Letting Go-
Todd is a human boy in the New World, where people from Earth went. He and his dog named Manchee are born into a world of lies in Pressintown, where boys become men at the age of thirteen and the new men always ignore their old friends until they are men. Todd is the last boy, since the women all died. Killed by the noise everyone said. The noise is what allows others to see and hear your thoughts, all men and animals have it, but it seemingly killed all the women, but when he goes into the swamp and meets a girl, his world changes.

Finding out what it really means to be a man in pressitown has cost Todd his innocence, at least he knows Viola will be safe, he learns that the noise wasn't a plague, but something in the air that didn't affect women. I can't really go on without spoiling the books, but these two are the amazing start of a series.

Tulsa burning review
3/5 I expected more excitement. There is no revenge, as the description suggested. The racist sheriff spreads lies and poses as an honest citizen. In reality, he is a dog-killing, cold-hearted, ignorant man. Not a very good book.
Reckless Review
This book is amazing! I rate it 5/5. Description is misleading, though. You see pieces of their past in the book. The book DOES have a happy-ish ending, yet is mysterious and leaves you with questions.
